On Monday evening, March 11th, a massive fire broke out at a manufacturing plant in Bath, NY.  Several fire departments responded to extinguish the large flames at the plant on Delaware Ave. Clark Specialty Company Inc. is a custom fabrication shop that utilizes sheet metal, plastic, and aluminum with associated assembly, silk screening, and powder coating operations as needed based on customer orders.

No injuries were reported, and all employees were not in the building at the time of the fire. The Director of Public Safety and Steuben County Fire will continue to investigate the cause of the fire. The building was completely destroyed, and the investigation will take time. The surrounding area unfortunately lost electrical power for hours due to lines getting destroyed in the flames. Firefighters were challenged due to powerlines down and the building collapsing, but the fire was eventually extinguished by 1 AM the following day.
